Object-oriented Development of an Expert System for Leachate Management

The Leachate Management Advisor (LMA) is an expert system designed for use in the management of leachate released from sanitary landfills. This paper presents the methodology and techniques that were employed for the development of the LMA. A unique feature of this experience was that knowledge was acquired from multiple expertise sources in various forms. _
