摘要

Standoff detector systems are an important part of any chemical/biological defence system. It's critical that the fielded systems meet the requirements of the battlefield commander. This requries criteria checked with sound test protocols. This paper discusses and proposes methods to improve the testing, modeling, and characterizing of standoff detector systems. The described testing protocol will provide information to support testing, evluation, design, training, and other areas of the acquisition process. The goal of higher information contents is achieved at a lower cost than the current generation of systems.
