We have obtained visible and near-IR reflectance spectra of the CI-, CM2-, C03- and CV3-chondrites with the purpose of comparing them with the reflectance spectra of selected asteroids. Several absorption bands, mainly in the region of 600-1000 nm, resembling to those of hydrated silicates, were found. Similar absorption features are seen in the reflectance spectra of C-type asteroids and hydrated or highly oxidized M-, E- and S- asteroids. On this basis we assume that a carbonaceous chondrite material may be present on the surfaces of these celestial bodies.
