The characteristic parameters of focusing and tracking servo systems have an important influence on the control accuracy. Among these parameters, those related to DVD optical pickups should be taken more account before designing servo control algorithm and Jitter is a key parameter to evaluate the comprehensive properties of DVD servo systems.
