This article focuses on the selection and the rejection ofrnmeans (artifacts) that help the user to achieve the goal ofrnlearning from the viewpoint of the Artifact DevelopmentrnAnalysis (ADA). The author listed 19 different meansrnfor learning and conducted the questionnaire researchrnfor total of 200 informants on the selection and thernrejection of those means for learning with possible listrnof 10rndifferent reasons for the acceptance or the rejection.rnThe main focus of the research is the use of e-learningrnand the TV-based Open University of Japan and positivernand negative reasons for the use of these means werernanalyzed.rnThe questionnaire research reported here brought a set ofrnresearch questions for the contextual inquiry researchrnthat will follow this study where an in-depthrnunderstanding on the selection and the rejection ofrnmeans for learning is expected.
