摘要

This paper presents the development of a coupled circuit-field and time stepping finite element method and the implementation for the performance analysis of a brushless permanent magnet DC (BLDC) motor. In the numerical model, nonlinear electromagnetic field, electric circuit and rotor motion equations are formulated in time domain and solved simultaneously at each time steps. This proposed model is validated and used to investigate the steady state and transient behaviour of the BLDC motor.
