LOW PRESSURE SHOWERED EVAPORATOR IN ABSORPTION COOLING UNIT

The article describes the subject of low pressure absorption cooling with pair of working fluids lithium bromide and water.It pursuits the design of heat exchangers in the unit and it targets on the influence of type of evaporator`s construction on the output of the whole unit.In graphs are shown measured values on small scale experimental unit with cooling power of 1kW.The application of showered heat exchanger in the evaporator of the cooling machine requires water circulation as primary cooling medium.Primary cycle is powered by circulation pump sucking water from evaporator and showering the exchanger.The exchanger has on its inner side cooled medium of secondary circuit which on its outer side cools down ambient air.The article discusses based on mathematical model theoretical possibilities of designing primary circuit and its influence on total effectiveness of cooling unit. rnThe results of these experiments serve as foundations for design and construction of experimental cooling unit with output of 10kW.
