Chinese Agricultural Issue and the Construction of the New Countryside

摘要

Agriculture in China is not only an economic issue, but a trinity issue of industry (agriculture), inhabitation (countryside) and status (farmer). This issue is closely related to global environmental change, and is a most typical field in Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change research in China. Meanwhile, this issue is representative for the rural development of undeveloped countries. It is suggested that more attention should be given to the rural development issues of developing countries in global environmental change research.
