The use taper tools (SK) for HSC apllications has the disadvantage that deformations of the receiving means occur as a result of centrifugal force which impair correct securing and safe releasing of the tool. The newly developed holow shank taper (HSK) promises to provide much higher rigidity and better repeatability of the tool position.
