USING DIGITAL CERTIFICATES TO SECURETHE ACCESS TO RTE'S INFORMATION SYSTEM

RTE - the French Transmission System Operator - is currently testing a system based on asymmetriccryptography, named Public Key Infrastructure, to secure its business exchange portal.This paper describes the security requirements which have lead RTE to deploy this infrastructure, theprogress of the project and the technologies that are involved.
