A test rig of pressurized circulating fluidized bed with a lift of 58 mm in diameter and 2000 mm in height is built. Preliminary tests show that behaviors of particles in the lift, cyclone and loop-seal are strongly influenced by pressure. Fluidization characteristics of particles at minimum fluidization velocities under different pressures are investigated by experiment and theoretical analysis. The minimum fluidization velocity of small particles is influenced less by pressure but strongly to that of large particles. Ergun equation can be used to predict the minimum fluidization velocity of the particles at different pressures.
