摘要

The heat transfer problem in furnaces is significantly important issue for precise design of the furnaces. In this study, the thermal radiation properties were studied for a cloud of coal char particles by using an FT-IR. In this paper, radiation properties were evaluated by the term of the extinction efficiency of char particles screened in the mesh #-280+440. The extinction efficiency in the wavelength region of 0.7 to 2.2 μm was proportional to unburnt carbon content.
