摘要

Thin walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been successfully synthesized using a fluidized-bed method that involves fluidization of Fe(Co/Ni)/Mo/MgO catalyst at high temperatures from methane. The products are mainly 2 to 5 walled CNTs with an outer diameter of 1~3 nm in high purity, as revealed by Raman spectrometry and SEM, HRTEM analysis. Mo can segregate the activity catalyst particle and is one of crucial factor for thin walled CNTs production. This is a potential way for a large scale production of thin walled CNTs.
