The transformation temperature A_s, T (B_2-DO_3) and shape memory effefct in Cu-Zn-Al and Cu-Zn-Al-Mn alloys have been measured with electrical resistivity measurements and DTA calorimetry techniques. The effect of alloying element Mn on stabilization of thermoelastic martensite has bee nalso investigated in this paper. The results show that the stabilization of martensite is related to the temperature of ordering raction B_2-DO_3 which could explain the reason why element Mn improves the stabilization of martensite for Cu-Zn-Al alloy.
