Analysis on Management and Control of Hazardous Chemicals in Metallurgical Industry

There are large amount and various kinds of hazardous chemicals in metallurgical industry, and they are widely distributed in plants and mines, mainly including recovers of coking plant, oxygen using in iron and steel making, acids using in steel rolling acid cleaning etc. Heavy accidents occurred repeatedly in metallurgical industry, such as gas or benzene poisoning and gas or oxygen explosion. Since the promulgation and enforcement of Management Rules on Hazardous Chemicals, all metallurgical enterprises have strengthened the management and control of hazardous chemicals. In this paper, we discussed the status quo of management and control of hazardous chemicals in metallurgical industry, analyzed existing problems and deficiencies, and put forward suggestions accordingly.
