Cathodic Corrosion Protection for Plant Areas

Increasingly in the last few years corrosion damage at buried steel pipelines in power stations, tankfarms and other industrial plants has occurred already after a few years of operation. Damage to important product pipelines can endanger the safe operation of the plants. Therefore the question arises how far cathodic protection, which has been used economically on long-distance pipelines for 60 years, can also be used for these pipelines to protect them against corrosion.
