Abstract: Volume holographic associative storage in a photorefractive crystal provides an inherent mechanism to develop a multichannel correlation system with high parallelism. Wavelet transform is introduced to improve recognition accuracy of the system. A novel volume holographic correlator is proposed and constructed. Its application in human face recognition is studied, and experimental results are given.!4
