This paper describes the investigation of the high-voltage pulse transformer, which is a special one due to the fact that the switching-mode power supply, in which it works, operates in a push-pull topology. This topology is not typical and used unusually for high input voltages, however, for plasma applications, it can have positives. This paper not only shows and includes the description of the topology of the supply, but it also reveals the chosen details of the project and the construction of the high -voltage transformer. A special attention has been given to the observation an output current and voltage waveforms. Attention has been given to the evaluation of short pulses - effectiveness to entail plasma reactor's ignition.
