Growth Features of Carbon Nanostructures on Co Particles Deposited on SiO_2 and Al_2O_3

The synthesis of carbon nanostructures by Co catalyst based on SiO_2 and Al_2O_3 was investigated. It was established that the catalyst CO/Al_2O_3 is more effective for the synthesis of carbon nanostructures than Co/SiO_2. Increasing the pyrolysis temperature favors the formation of the more uniform carbon nanostructures with smaller diameters.
