摘要

This paper proposes a new control method for telecommunications networks based on chaotic dynacmics.Self-similar beahivour has been observed in a variety of services and networks.ATM is a unifying vehicle for transporting a wide range of traffic streams,and hence is a ffocus for assessing the impact of self similarituy on networks.Chaotic maps have been used to modle self-similar traffic.uisng htis approach,we present results that show the sensitiviyt of the Hurst parameter to the dynamical parameters.Conventional control techniques for ATM each address only a single time scale,and hence re les effective as a result of self-similarity in the traffic behaviour.We stet out the less effective as a result of self-similarity in the traffic behaviour.We set our the MAPS ocntrol paradigm,using local control techn9qus in coupled map lattics,which iams to effect control ove the range of relevant timescales.
