This work presents a dynamic voltage distribution analysis along a polymeric insulator under partial discharging conditions at different sectors employing the double concatenated capacitor electric model, a solid model for studies applied to ceramic insulators. These analyses were made through simulations using MATLAB/Simulink® platform. Specific capacitances of each shed present on polymer chain were obtained using COMSOL Multiphysics® software. The results shows graphically the behavior of the potential distribution along the polymer insulator during the discharges and found significant variations of the electric tension in polymeric insulator's shed in accordance with the extent of the simulated partial discharges.
