摘要

A new paradigm in mid-infrared (MIR) biophotonics is opening up. The idea is of portable, MIR hyperspectral imagingin real-time for healthcare, including for in vivo cancer screening and diagnosis, based on new MIR fiber-optics. At theheart of the MIR fiber-optic approach are fiber-based MIR-supercontinuum (SC) broadband laser sources. First timereports of tissue hyperspectral imaging using fiber-based MIR-SC laser sources are reviewed here.
