摘要

Atrophy of refractory industry is related to singleness of function of refractories. It is important to exploit new function of refractories for development of refractory industry in future. Purifying steel may be an opportunity for refractory. A model of transferring oxygen between molten steel and refractory was proposed. A liquid phase layer formed between molten steel and refractory separates molten steel from refractory to stop direct dissolution of oxide and oxygen in refractory into molten steel. Liquid phase formed in refractory play a role similar to that of the metallurgical slag. The composition and properties of liquid give great influences on transferring oxygen between molten steel and refractory. To control composition of liquid phase may improve purifying function of refractory to molten steel. The research work on these should be done in future.
