摘要

Generally, 3D finite element method (FEM) is applied to consider overhang conditions of Linear Induction Motor (LIM). This paper suggests coupling algorism of 3D FEM and electro-magnetic field theory (EMFT) to overcome long analysis time of 3D FEM and to optimize its secondary structure. The optimized model is manufactured and the experimental results are compared to demonstrate the validity.
