Unsaturated corrosion tests were initiated with twornfast-flux mixed oxide (MOX) fuels, which had undergonernextensive grain restructuring during irradiation in thernExperimental Breeder Reactor –II (EBR-II). With thesernrestructured fuel samples, diffusion of 129I to the grainrnboundaries should have been maximized duringrnirradiation. The measured releases indicated that a largernpercentage of the ~(129)I had concentrated in samples fromrnthe ends of the fuel pins.
