ROADMAP TO DEALING WITH SELECTED CORROSION ISSUES ON THE S-70B-2 SEAHAWK

Since the Seahawks introduction into service it has been plagued by a multitude of corrosion issues. NASPO and DSTO have teamed up to address a selection of these major issues under the task NAV 02/126. The intention is to develop an overall anti-corrosion approach to Seahawk operations and maintenance, superior to the current processes in an attempt to reduce the high corrosion costs. This paper gives an account of the areas of focus outlining specific problems and what is being done to address them.
