The complexity and the dynamic behavior of fulfillment processes in supply chains define the need forinnovative Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM) systems. Based on a generic concept for an agent-basedSCEM system the realization of a prototype for a logistics service provider is presented. The proactive designof the order monitoring using adaptive order profiles and the integration of heterogeneous data sources fromdifferent supply chain partners ensure an optimized management of events during supply chain fulfillment.
