Safety Testing of Industrial Radiography Devices Westinghouse Savannah River Company

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) contracted the Savannah River Technology Center (SRTC) to verify the relevancy of the 10 CFR Part 34 requirements for the normal use of portable gamma radiography systems and to propose recommendations for changes or modifications to the requirements. The NRC also requested SRTC to conduct independent third-party verification-of-performance tests on three portable gamma radiography systems to determine if the commercially available equipment meets Federal Regulations.
