摘要

A joint research on magnetic field application in refining and continuous casting of steel has been conducted between Northeastern University in China and The University of Tokyo in Japan. Some new ideas have been proposed and some new results have been obtained such as the application of electromagnetic driven swirling flow in the RH system, argon gas injection in flow control mold of continuous casting of steel and suppression method of vortexing flow etc. Eight papers have been published in ISIJ International and Metallurgical and Materials Transaction B. Some proposed ideas and obtained results may promote the improving of refining efficiency and products quality.
