On the basis of three correlative formulas in the code and papers, the work condition and the unstable dynamical factors are analyzed. At last, the theoretical coefficient of the semi-empirical formula is predigested. The results show that the unstable mechanism of three formulas is not the same. The semi-empirical formula is fit to determine the thickness of the concrete mattress under wave in the bottom protection engineering. The Netherlandish formula and the formula in code are fit to confirm the thickness in the revetment. The results also show that the max of theoretical coefficient is 0.298, when the modulus changes from 0.88 to 1.00. According to the results, the predigested formula under wave action can be gained. Compare the predigested with the original, the results of the predigested are much safer.
