The essential decoloration and the de-chromium methods of sheepskin waste chromium -containing scraps were introduced. Through the experiment, optimal decolorant, de-chromium, and optimal technology of decoloration were chosen, and each kind of influence factor to the decoloration effect was analyzed. Through the experimental contrast, when ratio of rongalite and glucose was 3:1, the decoloration effect was better and the sulfur content in the wastewater was reduced. Contrasted oxidation coordination to the alkaline oxidation process, the difference of two de-chromium rate was subtle. When chromium-containing waste leather scraps were dechromiumed by different enzyme, the effectiveness of extracting collagen by different enzyme was also different. The order from the best effectiveness to the worst was cellulase, MH-882, MH-823, and alkali protease. The biological enzyme de-chromium consumes less time and was environmental friendly.
