摘要

Recently high molecular weight (HMW) polymers are requested to get high tenacity fibers theirfrom utilizing the gel-spinning . It is difficult to get HMW-poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA), since poly(vinyl acetate)(PVAc)radicals are so reactive that chain transfer reactions occur frequently. In this paper, we report the results of the trial to get HMW-PVA using emulsion polymerization, which has been in successful to get ca. 20000 degree of polymerization (DP).
