Water and sediments two-phase flow produce greater pressure than water single-phase flow produce, so it brought many safety problems to riverbank and shipping. The two-phase flow model is used to simulate the water and sediments two-phase flow in eight different river models, and the river models include natural boundary river with little islet, without islet, smooth boundary, and ramification and meandering boundary, and investigating different riverbed status The results show that (1) along with volume fraction of sediments increasing, the pressure of mixture to riverbank increases; (2) with velocity of inlet fluid increasing, the pressure of mixture to riverbank increases too; (3) the boundary status influences sediments settling and the pressure of mixture flow to riverbank, the natural boundary is irregular, and the mixture flow brought greater pressure than it on riverbank with smooth boundary; (4) the riverbed condition can influence the settling of sediment and pressure of mixture flow to riverbank. This calculation results provide the reference data to riverbank safety controlling, shipping and prevent flood.
