摘要

Closed-form solutions for critical energy release rates G_(cleav) for cleavage and G_(disl) for dislocation emission at blunt crack tip were obtained both for mode I and mode II loadings. By comparing the two critical energy release rates for given material, the intrinsically ductile or intrinsically brittle behavior is identified.
