The green highway construction in China

摘要

In recent years, the highway infrastructure construction in China has come into a soaring stage, which is stimulated by the rapid economic growth and reflects the strategic need to achieve the sustainable development. Highways, while being a necessity of economic devleopment, do impose impacts on the environment. The paper is to describe the implementation of sustainable development strategy in highway development in China.
