Dynamics of Filament Winding: a Comparison between Various Methodsfor the Estimation of the Induced Fibre and Machine Parts Velocities andAccelerations

This paper is associated with the dynamics of the filament winding process. Considering thernvelocities and accelerations of the moving machine parts and the dynamic behaviour of the woundrnfibre, a proper methodology for their description becomes essential. The solution of the motionrnequations can generally be only achieved by numerical methods. To obtain the associated velocitiesrnand accelerations, various discrete and analytical methods can be applied, especially designed forrneither ensuring significant accuracy or suppressing data oscillations. This paper provides anrnevaluation of the most common methods with filament winding as a field of application.
