摘要

This research aims to clarify the process of formation andtransformation of house types in San Francisco area, in the oldquarter of Cadiz and goes back to 2009, when the authors didextensive fieldwork to clear up the current condition of extantbuildings, compiling a database for 83 heritage properties registeredas architectural heritage by the local authorities. Historical recordsand planning documents have been used to trace back the origins ofthese types, their transformation through a time span of 400 yearsand their current situation. As a result, these types can beunderstood with respect to their main elements pertaining buildingmorphology.
