摘要

The diagnostic system considered in this paper relies onrnthe inconsistency between the actual process behaviourrnand its expected behaviour as described by an analyticalrnmodel. Simulation results and data acquired from anrnactual system are compared on-line in a suitablernenvironment and the residuals are evaluated for the faultrndetection process. In the case of incipient faults that canrnbe compensated for a period of time an on-line procedurernis executed that makes possible to maintain the normalrnoperation of the motor and to avoid reduction of thernefficiency or shutdown of the system in order to offer anrnintegrated diagnostic approach for these systems.
