POLAND, like many other industrialized countries, is suffering from an insufficiency of resources of acceptable quality to satisfy the population's drinking water consumption. Poland has had to call on modern, sophisticated processing plants for water from various origins such as rivers, dams, wells and artesian water in order to prevent major risks of pollution and to distribute drinkable water of a quality which complies with the requirements of standards.
