A reflectarray antenna with pattern reconfiguration which can be used in base stations for point-to multipoint applications is presented at 10.40 GHz. By the introduction of control elements based on RF-MEMS, the radiation pattern can be switched between three 30-degree sectors or a 60-degrees sector in the azimuth plane, with a squared cosecant shape in the elevation plane. The antenna consists of 364 aperture-coupled elements which have been gathered by pairs with the aim of reducing the number of electronic control devices and their associated feeding lines.
