COUPLED FAST-THERMAL REACTOR SYSTEM: THEORY AND EXPERIMENT

The mathematical model for the dynamics of coupled reactors was developed using thernintegral neutron kinetic model, the equations for feedback processes, and the equations forrnthe system reactivity. The Monte Carlo method was used for calculation of parameters of thisrnmodel.rnThe neutron physical characteristics and dynamic parameters of pulse coupled reactor systemrnconsisting of fast burst reactor and subcritical thermal module are studied in detail. Thernnumerical simulation results were compared with experimental data. It was shown thatrnexperimental data and computed results are in a good agreement. Developed model makes itrnpossible to simulate physical behavior of complex nuclear installations of coupled reactorsrnwith different neutron spectra and to predict all needed parameters with adequate precise.
