摘要

Two oral lipid-based formulations differing in the chain length of the lipid component were developed and characterized as self-nanoemulsifying systems. These were investigated for their dispersion characteristics and were further subjected to in vitro digestion. Simvastatin was used as a model drug. Results show that the lipid chain length had no marked influence on the in vitro performance of these formulations. Both were able to maintain the drug in solution during digestion, thus making them suitable for oral delivery of poorly water-soluble drugs.
