摘要

The dynamic compaction method is commonly used to improve the compaction effects of granular soil foundation since it can't be easily compacted via conventional methods. Based on the field test performed in Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, this study firstly analyzed the reinforcement mechanism of the dynamic compaction. The calculation method for the effective treatment depth as well as the influences of key design factors on the reinforcement effect were subsequently investigated. The proposed comprehensive detection method, is capable of assessing the compaction effect from multiple aspects, qualitatively and quantitatively. In addition, the detection results are both economic and reliable. The effective treatment depth calculated by the theoretical solutions agrees well with the measured results, indicating the effectiveness of the compaction method and the applicability of the proposed comprehensive detection method.
