Identification of Test Cases from Business Requirements of Software Systems

Many organizations are struggling between the fastdelivery of new software and quality assurance. Softwaretesting play a key part in the quality assurance of softwaresystems. Formal testing techniques increase softwarequality and, at the same time, reduce softwaredevelopment cycle time. This article presents amethodology for the identification and definition of blackbox test cases based on the functional requirements of asoftware system. The methodology is applied during theinitial phases of software development. The methodinvolves analyzing system requirements and constructinga functional description graph to organize theserequirements.
