This session(part one of a day-long tutorial) will update the newest generation of nuclear scientistsrnon what has occurred in the past regarding nuclear space power and propulsion. The topicsrncovered will include a detailed analysis review of the Rover0Nerva0Kiwi experiments to updaternAmerican Nuclear Society members on what has occurred in the past with regard to reactor design.rnInformation will also be presented on other nuclear power and propulsion developments. A successorientedrnreview will be presented that will point out the failures and dead-ends of the design andrnprojects but will focus on the successful path and outcomes seen by these experiments and programs.
