PRECAST TUNNELS ON THE ROAD TO THE NEW MALPENSA

The artificial (cut-and-cover) tunnels encountered along the road that at present leads to the international airport of Malpensa were constructed in record time, over a period of only six months, which was possible because the bearing structures of the tunnels are all precast and their assembly was carried out following a tight industrial-type programme.
