Development of a Multi-Platform Digital Source Collector Test Facility

Digital Source Collectors (DSCs) used to collect Health and Usage Monitoring (HUMS) data are increasingly becoming vital equipment to mission success for Army Aviation. DSCs monitor, collect, and provide aircraft drivetrain and rotor vibration health indications, aircraft state data, and usage monitoring information to Army aircraft maintainers for fleet management and Condition Based Maintenance (CBM). The ability to thoroughly and cost effectively test the software in these systems in a realistic and tactical environment is an immediate and growing need for the Army's airworthiness authority.
