摘要

In order to investigate the initial states of Asian dust (KOSA) particles, we made electron microscopic experiments of the particles collected in the free troposphere over Dunhuang, China (40°00′N, 94°30′E) in spring of 2003 and 2004, in summer of 2002, and in fall of 2004. Aerosol particles were collected in three layers (from 3 to 5, 5 to 7, 7 to9 km) with balloon-borne sampler. In this workshop we will discuss the mixing state and chemical composition of the dust particles over a KOSA source area.
