One of the essential functions to realize the differentiated services network is the traffic conditioning mechanisms to support the required services. In this paper, we propose TS2W3C (time sliding two window three color) marking algorithm based on TSW. The feature of the mechanism is that it utilizes two windows, one is used to measure the rate transition in a short period while the other is exploited for measurement of rate change in a relatively long period. We experiment with the proposed marking algorithm using ns-2 simulator. The simulation results indicate that our proposed marking scheme do fulfill better throughput assurance and fairness, under the case that AS flows require different target rate and co-exist with non-responsive UDP flows.
