Conceptual Modeling: Research in Progress ER 2018 FORUM Workshop at the 37th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER 2018)

The ER Forum Workshop is a vibrant platform for presenting and discussing novel research that addresses hot topics related to conceptual modelling. Innovation prevails over maturity, in particular regarding emerging new research topics. Consequently, the papers in this chapter address a broad spectrum of interesting approaches: new conceptual patterns for modern accounting information systems, the effectiveness of conceptual modeling languages, the expressiveness of temporal constraints for process models, knowledge graph embedding and view synchronization upon schema evolution. All submitted papers have been peer reviewed by at least three international Program Committee members. The accepted papers were carefully revised following the reviewers' comments.
